When there’s lots to do in a short time and few hands to share the work, power tools can make all the difference. We would have killed for a demolition hammer last time we installed a burrow in a nearby area. In addition to tarps and the essential squadron of buckets, you can also see many familiar tools of the non-power variety. Click here to see an closer shot of the garden and wood carts as well as other members of the pack train. The job here was replacing 3 1/2 gallon bucket chambers with models easily accessible for banding and cleaning. Though the old buckets weren’t convenient for banding, BuOws had used them for nesting even though there were burrows with larger chambers nearby. A couple pairs had even added a golf ball to their clutch!
